Tomorrow Is Never Promised

September 11 - October 2, 2010

Erik Otto is based out of San Francisco, CA. His new work is an observation of the human experience that is continually informed by the pressures and demands of the outside world. Otto creates his art to openly engage the viewer by communicating the shared struggle we all encounter to connect our awakened state to our desires found within. In constructing his pieces with found and salvaged materials, he expresses the personal satisfaction he receives from discovering use out of the “unusable”.

Tomorrow is Never Promised  illustrates the themes of struggle one must face in order to achieve growth, self-fulfillment versusself destruction, times of solitude, and living in the present. The works will also depict the transient nature of time and how it dictates the uncertainty of life.
