David Cook

Cook has built an elaborately themed body of work around a tale of love, hate, sex, and death between a high priestess, a two-headed king, and their respective armies of fantastical creatures. The artist's imagery employs a mythological language inspired by such subversive influences as heavy metal music and a personal friendship with a dominatrix whose domme persona, "Teresa Nasty", is rendered two-dimensionally as the main character in the Epic Battles narrative.
