We had the pleasure of ArtBusiness.com stopping by White Walls last Thursday evening for Max ‘RIPO’ Rippon’s “Signs, Fines, & Cheap Wines” opening night; read their commentary on the show and check out some great shots taken by Alan Bamberger:

AB: Max Rippon captures and collages snippits of big city life.

Rippon incorporated images and phrases associated with his home-base city of Barcelona, including the hand made tiles placed throughout the gallery. The floral design of these tiles can be seen in day-to-day life in the city — on buildings, streets, and small alleyways. A mixture of Spanish and English phrases were painted atop found objects and hand-cut paper, also bringing an essence of Spain to the show.
