Art is Always Happening

White Walls artist, Eine, along with next months exhibiting artist, ROA, have been busy in LA putting in work for the big Art in the Streets show at LA MOCA. These two have also been collaborating on a wall as part of the Indoor Mural Project at 941 Geary. Another artist working hard at 941 is none other than Hush, who has kindly entitled his piece “A Prayer for Japan” in dedication to all those affected by the recent natural disaster.
We haven’t released the full list of artists working on the Indoor Mural Project so join us at 941 Geary, April 23rd as we unveil all the pieces of the puzzle.

ABOVE in Indonesia

Above flew to Jakarta, Indonesia two days after his solo show in Australia and immediately threw up work on the streets. This Bruce Lee and Eazy-E poster mash-up was done across from the Police station.

Sketch for Japan: An Artist Fundraiser

Warholian has put together a fundraiser taking place this Monday the 21st from 5-7pm at Project One Gallery.

PRESS RELEASE:

“Sketch for Japan: An Artist Fundraiser” will be held Monday, March 21 at Project One Gallery & Lounge and organized by Warholian.com in partnership with Rise with Japan. All proceeds will be directly donated to Give2Asia: JSNC Japan Earthquake and Tsunami Relief Fund, a fund that is directly distributed to the people in the northern region of Japan.

We are asking participating artists to sketch inspired artwork, or donate any works that they may have laying around their studios for the fundraiser. All works will be priced at $50 or under. We will have the pieces displayed on a board (much like Sketch Tuesdays at 111 Minna) where visiting patrons can purchase the works immediately.

A large part of the Japanese community within San Francisco has had family personally affected by the recent earthquake and tsunami – this is our way of helping those currently in need.

Sketch for Japan will be held Monday, March 21st from 5pm-11pm at:
Project One Gallery and Lounge
251 Rhode Island
San Francisco, CA 94103

“We Rock Hardest”

Have you had enough of Eine yet? Just before the opening, with help from WallSpace he completed a mural above what the Tender Blog called “the conceptual art installation entitled, KFC-Taco Bell”

If you’re in the neighborhood, come to Polk & Eddy and have a look.
Keep up with more of Eine’s work around SF by checking the map we’ve created for you lovely folks.

Ben, “getting busy”

Check out White Walls’ own Spencer Cunningham as he shadows Eine.
If you’ve been living under a rock this past month, Eine has been busy painting the alphabet around the city, along with a few other gems. Take a look into his process!
